Here is a video of my daughter when she was just 2 years old. I love her. I love her. I love her. Happy new year to all! I look forward to happier days, love, prosperity and good health for 2017.
I was not what you would call an excellent student. It’s really embarrassing when my students ask me if I were some sort of an academic wonder child and I had to tell them ‘nope, I’m your average student who gets good grades most of the time’.
To my surprise and delight, it would seem that my daughter did not follow in my footsteps. Thank you, Lord! She got a “Potential Leader” award and the “First Honor” for the first quarter of this school year.
I really didn’t expect that first honor award. It was a wonderful surprise. All those times of making her study, creating reviewers for her and letting her discover things on her own, paid off. She did an awesome job. She still had a lot to learn but I’m blessed that my parents are ever supportive and her teachers are always looking out for her.
Yesterday, I could not help but feel pride when she got her certificates. She really did it all on her own.
I am still at awe of her. She’s amazing.
Thank you, Lord, for the gift of Heaven.
Jesus is Alive!
The mass we attended at SM was good. Although I particularly felt that the priest’s sermon was quite long, his message of hope was received well. It was going to be a busy day.
We strolled inside the mall and of course, we ended up at the arcade where Heaven played different games and won herself a ballpen with a sticky tape. I think she chose it to hoard the thing. Seriously, she now has tens of pens and crayons at home!
As with any Easter Sunday, the mall had some activities lined up for the kids. Thus, we registered to join the activities. There was a fishing game, face painting and coloring. Heaven had a blast!
She won a prize for fishing out 5 toys and had her left cheek painted on. She wanted a blue and pink butterfly.
After lunch, Heaven went on to color some eggs. 🙂 It was nicely made, by the way. Super proud mom, here!
When we got home, it was far from over because we later went to my uncle’s home and met up with the rest of the family for some long overdue bonding. Part 2 post coming up!
As per Grandpa, what I sketched would be how Heaven would look like 10 years from now. 🙂
As Grandpa said, she sings the harmony and I should simply sing the melody. Hehehe.
