Gender neutrality and parenting

Way before I found out about gender neutrality, I made a decision to make sure my child will grow up to be sensitive to other people’s sexual preferences.

Raising my daughter, I allowed her to choose toys she liked. She would play with tools, cooking stuff and blocks. Her favorite color was blue and most of the hand me downs we received were from my nephews.

Now that she’s a grader, her favorite color has become pink and she loves dolls and pretend make-up.

Children continue to grow and evolve. Who knows what she will take interest in by tomorrow? However, as her mom, I can only support her and watch over her with love.
